What to Expect During Onboarding

ZenSync handles everything for you — from setup to automation. This article outlines what happens after you sign up so you know exactly what to expect.

Step 1: Welcome & Setup Form

After signing up, you’ll receive a Welcome Email with a link to your onboarding form.
This secure form collects the information we need to set up your workflow:

  • Zendesk domain, admin email, and API token
  • Jira URL, user email, and API token
  • Slack credentials (bot or user — see this guide)
  • Airtable or Google Sheet sharing (for Advanced and Pro only)

Don’t worry — all keys are handled securely and only used to set up your private scenario.

Step 2: Workflow Configuration

Once we receive your info, we’ll:

  • Set up your Zendesk → Jira → Slack automation
  • Add Airtable/Sheets logging if included in your tier
  • Schedule your weekly Gmail report (Tier 3 only)
  • Perform a test run and verify functionality

This process typically takes 1–2 business days.

Step 3: Confirmation & First Live Escalation

Once setup is complete:

  • You’ll get an email confirming activation
  • We’ll walk you through how to trigger your first real ticket escalation
  • You’ll start receiving alerts/logs based on your tier (Slack, Airtable/Sheets, Gmail)
